Tidying and Organizing!!

The title of this book sounded very intriguing.  I would like to think I’m pretty tidy and keep things organized, then I look around, and not quite as good as I thought.  In her book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, Marie Kondo has written a very practical, although at times tedious book.

This was an easy to read book, although there were moments I felt as if it took too long to get to the point, which for me, was the practical application of what she was trying to teach.  The premise of the book is to teach people through various methods who to declutter their spaces.  Whether it's work, home or wherever, Marie has a thought about ways to declutter and then organize your space.

One thing I really appreciated was the small length of each chapter.  It made the book easier to read, and I could put it down and easily pick it up back up to read.  The section about folding shirts was fun to read and one that I am going to try.  I have too many shirts already, so I think this will be a good test to see how it works.

Overall, this was a very good book and one I recommend to others.

I received this book from Blogging for Books for this review.  This is an unbiased review.
