Life in Hatton, Alabama

Frankly, I’m not sure there is much that happens in Hatton. Yesterday (Wednesday) I learned the reason Debbie’s dad has a Town Creek address, even though he lives 7 miles from Town Creek is the fact that Hatton does not have a post office. All mail is delivered to his mail box which is about 3 blocks from his home. If you need groceries, you either go to Town Creek; Moulton (which is 10 miles away {where this is being sent from}) or you go to the Dollar General store in Hatton, which is Hatton’s only grocery store.

Yesterday, we shopped and had lunch at Sonic, Joshua’s favorite place when we lived in Ashland. There were no Sonic’s in the Dearborn area. Other than shopping and eating dinner at 8:45 Alec time, we hung out, played games of Checkers and Jenga. The boys were tired, they should be, they only slept from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m., and went to sleep at 10 pm. I followed at 11:15. So much for day 1.
